Before you start
Driver app access (driver_portal View to open; Manage for responding and submitting). The office must create the correct driver account. Installing a shortcut grants no additional permissions.
- Your office has supplied the correct DTE application address and your own sign-in details. Do not use the Help Centre address as the application address.
- Use a supported, up-to-date phone browser with a working connection for first sign-in; work while safely parked.
Sign in to your own account
While safely parked, open the DTE address supplied by your office. Enter your own email and password, then tap Sign in. If access is missing, ask the office to check your driver account.
Check the screen for: Email, then Password, then Sign in.
Find the main screens
Today shows today’s work. Jobs lets you open your allocated journeys. Checks holds your vehicle checks. More takes you to options such as documents and time off; the options available depend on your access.

Add it on an iPhone
On an iPhone, open DTE in Safari and choose Share; your layout may put this under More. Choose Add to Home Screen, enable Open as Web App if shown, then tap Add.

Add it on Android
On Android, open DTE in Chrome. Use the browser menu’s install or home-screen option and follow the prompts. The wording can vary with your browser version.

Open the home-screen icon
Tap the new icon and confirm that your own work appears. If you are asked to sign in again, use the same account. On a shared phone, sign out through More when you have finished.
Check the screen for: Home-screen DTE icon, Today, More → Sign out.
Check it worked
- You should now be able to reopen DTE from the home screen and find Today, Jobs, Checks and More. A home-screen icon does not replace a working connection for online actions.
